Outstanding paddlers are born through inspirational coaches, those who are able to challenge old ideas, test new techniques, accept change and perform in our dynamic sport
 

Although we follow a syllabus, I hope to inspire your coaching journey to fit your unique style, developing others and not trying to squeeze into a one size fits all mould
 

Improving your own ability and skills to better develop and inspire, those taking to moving water in canoe.
 

As well as the natural progression after White Water canoe leader, you will be amazed at the personal skill development you gain from expanding your coaching knowledge.

 

The Training syllabus will cover:

• Technical understanding, of fundamentals.

• How observation will dictate our decision making

• Analysing performance

• Skill breakdown and performance models

• Site specific coaching and how we can use our environment to reinforce learning

• How we can challenge and progress learning

• Reflective practice

• Coaching delivery

• Rescue skills

Aswell as challenging what we already know and making the subjects covered in makes sense, coupled with simple application.
 

To close the course we will work with you to detail a personal action plan on your journey to assessment and answer any questions you may have.

 

To attend the course you must:

 

Be a full on the water member

 

Be 18 years or over

 

Have completed your core coach or UKCC LVL2 training
