3 full Days spent in and on the water covering:

• Official Paddle UK White Water Safety course

• leadership Training taken from the White Water leader Syllabus which naturally builds on the safety course river day

Having experience running both safety and leadership courses and with the leadership training no longer mandatory we have taken the most important and impactful areas of the leadership syllabus and assessment criteria along with the prerequisite WWS. To allow you to start your journey towards assessment fully equipped.

This course is ideal for those who have:

• Completed leadership or safety courses before and are looking for a refresher

• Those completely new to leadership and safety

• Are members of a club or group who want to me more useful and effective on the water

These courses naturally flow well into each other and also allow us to deliver them on rivers in the environment you will actually use them, although depending on levels we may spend a day more bank based to look at rescue solutions and options. These three days will hopefully all run as days on the river from our Boats. 

 

You will be happy to know we will not run our courses without ample rain

By the end of the course you will come away with a minimum of:

• A range of rescue options both boat and bank based

• A range of leadership styles to play with

• Group management options

• Tools to profile your group

• Understanding of what kit you may need and how to store it

• Personal skill progression

• How to plan a successful trip based on you and your group

• Paddle UK WWS Certification

• A peer group to paddle with on your journey to assessment

• Full personalised action plan for whatever you next step may be
