Service Description

This course is aimed at paddlers wanting to experience moving water or those who have paddled rivers graded 1-2 who are wishing to solidify their paddling skills.  A roll is not necessary for this course.  This course is split over 2 days. Day 1 - Skill assessment and development on a river trip. Day 2 - Skill development in a more advanced environment. Skills Covered: River reading Effective use of paddling strokes Effective use of eddies Crossing the flow Edge control  Rescue Techniques Basic use of surf waves Kit required for the course (available on request subject to availability): Fully outfitted kayak Quality kayak paddle Whitewater helmet Buoyancy aid Cag  Wetsuit  If you own any of the above equipment please bring it along and let us know on the booking form.
