Develop your confidence and skills, beyond simply getting down Grade 2/3.

During our time with you our aim is to help you properly understand what the water is doing and learn how to work with it rather than fight against it.

If you're comfortable on Grade 2 but start to feel out of control as the water becomes more dynamic, we focus on developing the skills that allow you to control your boat, and allow you to achieve your chosen outcome.

As much as id like to say we will refine your trim and edge use, and support deliberate decision making on the river, i wont know until i meet you.
All of the coaching you receive over the course will be individual to you and the tasks set will be relevant to your development not because it suits the group or venue.

My end goal isn’t about simply getting you down and surviving the river.
It’s about building your Confidence so you can explore and paddle new rivers in the future with friends independent of a coach or guide....although ill be here if you need me​

What to bring:

 

• A canoe appropriately outfitted for white water

• Suitable clothing for the environment(dry suit/splits)

• Appropriate footwear for the advanced environment

• Suitable Whitewater helmet

• Suitable Whitewater paddle

• Suitable Whitewater Buoyancy Aid 

• Any snack and drinks for on the water

 

Requirements

 

• This course requires the learners to be able to paddle on Grade 2 white water or have experience on the grade

• It is also beneficial if you have and can use a swim line but this is not necessary

• All participants must be 18 or over (16 if accompanied by an adult also on the course)
